The S.M.C.H.S. Habitat for Humanity chapter will be student-run, student-led, and will perform three main functions;
-Build or rehabilitate houses in partnership with Habitat affiliates and homeowners.
-Educate the campus and local community about the need for affordable housing and the work of Habitat for Humanity.
-Raise funds for the work of Habitat.
As a member of the S.M.C.H.S. Habitat for Humanity chapter you will need to participate in more than just building. You will be expected to help with fundraising and educating our community about the work of Habitat for Humanity. As a group we will do much more than raise funds and build homes. We will plan activities for homeowners, tutor children and plan school and community events.
